At this year’s event,  Hengtong showcased latest achievements in green manufacturing across the optical communication industry, including next-generation ultra-low-loss optical fiber technology and low-carbon ultra-thin air-blown microcable solutions. In the meantime, Hengtong's innovative solutions in lightweight flexible optical cable solution, advanced antennas, leaky cables, and seamless indoor and outdoor wireless signal coverage are ready for more efficient and convenient connectivity. The 2024 list of the top 500 Chinese enterprises was published on September 11 by the China Enterprise Confederation and the China Enterprise Directors Association at the 2024 China Top 500 Enterprises Summit Forum. Hengtong Group got the 156th place, marking a rise of 15 places from last year. Hengtong Group also ranked 55th among the top 100 strategic emerging industry enterprises and 94th among the top 100 multinational companies, reflecting its continuous innovation and global growth.

Hengtong Group was invited to attend the 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in Beijing this September. Under the witness of H.E. Moustafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt and H.E. On September 2nd, Hengtong launched the first session training program for our international employees. Jiangsu Hengtong Power Cable Co., Ltd. has proudly contributed to installing the first turbine of the 100,000-kW grid-connected wind power project in Tibet. Located at an average altitude of over 5,050 meters, with the highest turbine position reaching 5,200 meters, the project sets a new record for the global wind power industry in terms of altitude. In the face of extreme environmental challenges, Hengtong developed a new type of power transmission material that enhanced current-carrying capacity by 14%, ensuring reliable power transmission in harsh conditions.The project is expected to provide 223.7 million kWh of clean energy annually, saving 75,300 tons of coal equivalent and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 188,200 tons. Committed to its goal of reaching carbon peak by 2028 and carbon neutrality by 2045, Hengtong hopes to participate in clean energy transformation and global sustainable development.

The International Electrotechnical Commission officially released the International Standard IEC 61196-1-105:2024, which Jiangsu Hengtong Wire & Cable Technology Co. Ltd participated in formulating. This standard, "Coaxial Communication Cables - Part 1-105 Electrical Test Methods - Test for Withstand Voltage of Cable Dielectric," extends the communication frequency band of coaxial communication cables from the previous 2.5GHz to 3.5GHz. This extension is necessary for 5G indoor wireless communication, and it provides the latest standards for the design, production, quality inspection, and related testing of coaxial communication cables in the new-generation information technology for their wide range of applications.

The company is resolutely aiming for net zero emissions by 2045.By 2045, HENGTONG POWER CABLE will have achieved a 90% reduction in absolute scope 1 and scope 2 emissions from a 2022 baseline.
